High production
Consider a manufacturing facility... We think nothing about the need to customize general purpose tools to fulfill the exact needs that we have. Imagine how unproductive it would be to buy a CNC machining center and pay an operator to stand there typing in XYZ coordinates to machine one part after another. Sure the parts can be made this way, but look at the potential when a custom program is written to automate the process.
